Gallery of Meraki

Gallery of Meraki

Thursday 1st to Sunday 25th February

In this exhibition, her first in Gloucester since 2005, Kimberley re-emerges as an artist of great talent and imagination and will showcase a diverse range of work using multiple mediums to represent her wide ranging talent.

Kimberley has a large family that have shared their Aboriginal culture with her, giving her an awareness of their dreaming, cultural site significance and their belief systems, some of this knowledge she has incorporated into her work.

Weaving this understanding together with her own close relationship to nature and the environment, both natural and built, into her artworks. Pieces include sculpture, painting and photography, mixed media often with the inclusion of found objects.

Kimberley has a formal art training background, with her work being shown in Taree, Tuncurry, Newcastle, on the Central Coast, and previously in Gloucester Gallery in 2005.

Kimberley has produced art installation work in Port Macquarie on commission and has work in private collections in England and America.

You are invited to join us at the Gallery, 25 Denison St for the exhibition opening in conjunction with the inaugural display of murals for the Gallery Courtyard Community Mural Project

Saturday 3rd February 1 pm - all welcome.
