Art Workshop

Join a small group of budding artists coming together to create and chat in a relaxed environment. Classes are tailored to suit all levels of art making experience, from beginners to more advanced, where students will enjoy creating within an informal and friendly environment.

With an emphasis of ‘no right of wrong’ and with a ‘try it and find out approach’, students will enjoy introduction to materials and ways of working through demonstration, conversation and practice.

Three hour classes will be held over a nine week period and will cover various approaches to art making from traditional to contemporary that are sure to stimulate a creative art journey through drawing and painting.

KAREN McPHEE is an artist that enjoys the exploration and journey through the very act of drawing and painting. Her art making is divided between studio based studies that include still life and figurative work, and the experience of working outdoors (en plein air) using direct observation and available light to study and sketch the landscape for studio work or to complete a work onsite, (alla prima), all in one go. Karen holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Sydney Collage of the Arts) and a Fine Arts Diploma (TAFE Hunter Institute)
