Come Fly with Me

Join us at the official opening on Saturday January 9 from 2pm. Come in and fly a plane - it's all about fun.
The Gallery will be filled with paper planes of various designs and sizes with tips and instructions on how to make your own.
People are encouraged to fly theirplanes along a designated 'runway' and these will build up over the month to form a colourful display.
There are also paper plane mobiles for sale made from recycled picture booksincluding favourites Winnie The Pooh, Noddy and Snugglepot & Cuddlepie.
A special feature of the exhibition will be a display of works made by St Joseph's year 5/6students. Inspired by the fantastic book and film "Paper Planes" they have produced fabulous origami, drawings and videos.
On Saturday January 16 there will be a special screening of this wonderful Australian movie"Paper Planes" in the Soldiers Club Auditorium at 1pm. "Paper Planes" is an imaginative children's film about a young Australian boy's passion for flight and his challenge to compete in the World Paper Plane Championships in Japan.
After the film we will be holding the inaugural Gloucester Paper Plane Championship!! See if you have the skills to make and fly your plane the furthest and become the first Gloucester Champion! All materials will be supplied. Everyone is welcome and entry is by donation.

NTERACTIVE art is reaching new heights at the Gloucester Gallery with the Come Fly With Me
exhibition from January 7 to 31.The exhibition will fill the space with paper planes of various designs and
sizes. Tips and instructions will be provided on how to make your own, then fly them along a designated
