Jean Buettel returned from the West Coast of Canada a few months ago and planned her next exhibition featuring the flora and fauna of that area. Following numerous exhibitions in her home town of Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario during the 2000’s featuring scenes and animals from Australia, she decided it would be fitting to paint the landscape and animals of British Columbia.

The Rockies are so magnificent and the sea scapes and the fir trees are so different from what we know of the Australian landscape. Working mainly in oils on stretched canvas the paintings vary from the grizzly bears and wolves that were so amazing in the high country to the serenity of the shoreline from the mainland to Vancouver Island. If you have ever visited the Rocky Mountain area come and relive some of your memories and experiences at Jean’s exhibition “Heartbeats from Canada”
