Meg Tulk
Meg grew up in Sydney and still resides there part time. Much of her inspiration comes from her second home that she shares with her husband Gary in Waukivory, Gloucester. The changing seasons and impact of nature on the landscape are evident in her stylistic interpretation of nature’s beauty. Her bold use of vibrant colour and white outlining is the dominating element in her paintings. Acrylic paint is used in the traditional method and as a watercolour technique to create a unique bleed of one colour to the next. The slightly abstract nature of her work is achieved through the use of non traditional colours, emphasis on the beauty found in shapes and the technique of negative painting. All paintings are bright , cheerful and uplifting. Most paintings are shadow boxed framed with timber that has been milled from the family farm.
